Lutech accelerates in the Balkans:
new office in Tirana and 250 hires

Lutech takes a new step in its international expansion journey and chooses Tirana. The Group is opening a new office in the Albanian capital, strengthening its presence in European markets and investing in a territory with strong growth potential. This is a strategic piece in a broader vision: building an increasingly integrated network of expertise, capable of supporting international clients with distributed and highly qualified operating models.

The Tirana office was established with a dual objective: on the one hand, to support the development of the Group’s business in the Balkan area; on the other, to contribute to technology, consulting, and delivery activities at a global level. It is an operational outpost designed to be close to the markets while, at the same time, being fully connected with Lutech’s international ecosystem.

At the heart of the project is the Lutech Global Competence Center (GCC), a hub that works in close synergy with teams in Italy and Spain. This is where strategic initiatives for international clients take shape, leveraging advanced digital expertise and a collaborative, multi-competence model.

A concrete example of this approach is Lutech’s presence within Durana Technology Park, where the Group is developing a Research & Development center that represents the international evolution of a model already well established in Italy, at its offices in Bari, Cosenza, and Naples. In this setting, highly innovative projects are taking shape, focused on artificial intelligence, AI learning, and digital twins, in support of strategic initiatives on a global scale.

The development of the hub will also be supported by a major employment growth plan: over the coming years, the addition of 250 new employees is planned, with a focus on IT, digital, and consulting profiles, to support the Group’s various business lines.

“The opening of international hubs such as Lutech’s in Tirana is a concrete sign of Albania’s growing attractiveness as a platform for technological development and innovation,” commented Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation. “Strengthening ecosystems that connect businesses, skills, and international markets is essential to support sustainable growth and accelerate the path of European integration. Investments in digitalization, human capital, and cooperation between the public and private sectors are now fundamental levers for building a modern, competitive economy open to the future.”

“The task of an Embassy is to promote the best of its country abroad in order to build value. That is what we are doing. The opening of Lutech’s new office in Tirana is a tangible sign of the new strategic partnership between Italy and Albania. A fast-growing company in a key sector for the country’s development,” stated Marco Alberti, Ambassador of Italy to Albania.

“The opening of the Tirana office marks a further step in building Lutech as a European player in digital and Artificial Intelligence,” stated Giuseppe Di Franco, CEO of Lutech Group. “Growing means not only expanding our international presence, but above all connecting talents and expertise to generate value for our clients. With the Global Competence Center, we want to strengthen a model that combines proximity to local territories with global delivery capabilities, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable ecosystems.”

The choice of Albania confirms Lutech’s strategy: to invest in territories undergoing strong technological evolution, enhance local talent, and contribute to the creation of innovative ecosystems. In this context, the new office also aims to become a meeting point between the company, universities, and young professionals, fostering skills development and creating new career opportunities.

With Tirana, Lutech expands its geography and strengthens a growth model that looks at Europe as an integrated system of expertise, innovation, and talent.

“The inauguration of the new Tirana office represents a key milestone in our international growth path. With the Global Competence Center, we want to develop a dynamic and open environment, closely integrated with the R&D center, where people can strengthen their skills and contribute to innovative projects aimed at global markets,” stated Gianluca Ciminata, CEO of Lutech Balkans and Head of Lutech’s Global Competence Center.

Confirming Lutech’s growing roots in Albania’s economic and institutional system, one year after joining Confindustria Albania, Gianluca Ciminata, CEO of Lutech Balkans and Head of Lutech’s Global Competence Center, was elected General Councillor. An appointment that testifies to the Group’s active role in strengthening the dialogue among businesses, skills, and territories, contributing to the initiatives for the 2026–2030 four-year period aimed at enhancing collaboration between Italian and Albanian companies.
