Lutech joins QuIC, European Quantum Industry Consortium

Through its membership in the Consortium, Lutech will discuss the applicability of Quantum Computing technologies in industry.

Lutech has joined QuIC, the European Quantum Industry Consortium, whose mission is to increase the competitiveness and economic growth of the European quantum technology industry by strengthening its value creation. The Consortium works across Europe to build a strong and vibrant ecosystem among SMEs, large companies, investors and leading researchers.

"By joining QuIC, Lutech confirms its leadership in the development of leading edge technologies in the ICT sector," said Tullio Pirovano, CEO of Lutech - Quantum computing is, in fact, a real new frontier for our industry, which will drastically change the scenario of business applications in many industrial sectors. Through our campus we are also committed to training the new quantum programming professionals, experts capable of analyzing problems, finding solutions based on efficient quantum algorithms that are implemented on real quantum machines."

By joining QuIC, Lutech consolidates its commitment to R&D applied to the country's strategic industries and the development of digital and ICT skills.

Analyzing and developing quantum computing solutions in the industrial field that can optimize industrial processes and thus promote actions in line with the principles of environmental sustainability is one of the focus points of the path undertaken by Lutech. Primarily, Lutech will focus on the applicability of quantum computing in the financial and energy sectors and on the use of quantum technology for applications in Cybersecurity.

Through this collaboration, it will also be possible to initiate specialized training paths that target both C-Levels from large companies who are interested in learning more about the applications of quantum computational technologies, and recent graduate students who will be the professionals of the future in this field.

"Quantum Computing will be one of the areas of the Lutech Campus, our new Open Innovation Hub," said Alberto Roseo, Lutech's Chief Marketing, Communication & Strategy Officer -. For this step change, experts in algorithms and new supports for advanced programming need to be trained. The other areas of the campus will be Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, 5G/IoT and Fintech/Insurtech."
