Lutech expands its Global Competence Center and accelerates in AI with the acquisition of DigitSapiens in the Balkans

Lutech Group announces the signing of an agreement to acquire DigitSapiens, an Albanian company specialized in AI and digital solutions — marking a new step in Lutech’s international expansion.

With the integration of DigitSapiens, Lutech’s Global Competence Center in Tirana further consolidates its position as the Group’s near-shore hub, now counting 250 professionals delivering efficiency and expertise to clients in Italy, Spain, Albania, and across Europe.

The center operates in key domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering & Analytics, Cloud, CRM, and ERP, with a particular focus on the Energy & Utilities, Telco & Media, and Manufacturing industries.

DigitSapiens brings to Lutech a portfolio of advanced expertise that includes Cloud Computing (design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications, migration, and operational consulting), Machine Learning (intelligent solutions based on advanced algorithms for forecasting, automation, and decision-making), LLM and Artificial Intelligence (research and development of autonomous agents, prompt engineering, and next-generation AI applications), Computer Vision (model training for visual recognition, anomaly detection, and field deployment readiness).

A growing ecosystem at the heart of Albanian innovation

Alongside DigitSapiens, Sapience AI, the DigitSapiens spin-off based in the Durana Tech Park, Albania’s first science and technology park, will also join the Lutech Group. Strategically located between Tirana and Durrës, the park offers state-of-the-art infrastructure for companies, startups, and universities, fostering networking, research, and innovation. Lutech is actively contributing to the Durana Tech Park project, bringing its know-how and supporting the growth of Albania’s AI technology ecosystem.

The closing of the transaction is expected in the first quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
