With structural renovations and refurbishment work complete, today saw the official inauguration of Lutech Group’s new headquarters, a central location for collaboration and dialog between the Group’s resources and all company stakeholders.

The opening of the new premises in Cinisello Balsamo near Milan, already the site of the company’s Service Operations Center, has a strong symbolic meaning for all Lutech Group personnel and represents the concrete demonstration of the company’s new path, following the entry of Apax Partners and formal completion of most of the acquisitions carried out in the last few years.

Commencement of operations in the new Cinisello Balsamo headquarters, confirms Tullio Pirovano, CEO of Lutech Group, coincides with the start of an exciting new era for the company.

With total floor area of 130,000 sq ft over five stories, the structure has been designed with the goal of creating the perfect environment for the hybrid working of the future. The Cinisello Balsamo premises offers a thousand free work stations per shift for employees and contractors, in addition to numerous shared spaces taking up 30% of the total surface area.

In particular, 50 meeting areas have been designed, all equipped with the most recent Cisco technologies, incorporating the Cisco WebEx collaboration app and tools, as well as spontaneous meeting areas. All shared spaces are located in the central areas of the individual floors, precisely to foster convergence, and therefore collaboration, between resources from the various company practices. Fifteen access points distributed across the entire building and a different color for each area ensure both the greatest possible openness to dialog with the Group ecosystem and the knowledge of identifying the correct path for business development at any time.

In this way, the new premises will become an environment open at any time to dialog between all members of the company’s innovation chain, from partner vendors to clients. The five spontaneous meeting areas have also been designed as green areas with plenty of vegetation, as well as green tones and furnishings, to represent membership of a model of environmental and social sustainability that the Group intends to spread and develop both within and outside its new walls.

The goal that we have set ourselves, confirms Mirko Bovo, Lutech Group Head of Procurement & Facility Management Officer, is to create a place which fosters constant interaction, collaboration and sharing of ideas.

In terms of environmental sustainability, Lutech Group has carefully managed all phases of the building work, from demolition and construction to disposal of the materials produced by the work, which were all sent off for reuse and recycling. Specific sustainable choices were made regarding the identification of suppliers and the materials used, aiming for the use of natural solutions, whose life cycle and production is low-impact if not zero emissions. The project used ecological wood, insulation and paints, and also involved the installation of over 1,100 plants in the various areas, which help offset the CO2 produced.

Finally, the new configuration integrates perfectly with the pre-existing SOC (Security Operating Center) – for which the highest levels of protection and safeguarding of client projects has been maintained – and it has been developed and certified in accordance with the most recent health protocols for employees, contractors and guests.
